Today is the International Day Of Peace and to celebrate this peace activists in Penzance held a festival (easier to host on a weekend than a weekday) and i was one of many performers who sang a few songs in support of peace and the festival itself.
I travelled down early as i could yesterday, the journey was a little longer than normal due to rail replacement bus services from Plymouth to St. Austell but having travelled to Exeter on numerous occasions during the time when Dawlish Seawall fell into the sea this wasn’t a new experience.
Despite often enjoying the streets and sands of St. Ives it’s not often i am on the south coast in Penzance so i had a little wander about before i got to the festival.
Think i was about the 4th or 5th on, i sang 3 songs, Save The World, Bullets For Peace and It’s Revolution Love! as they kinda fit the whole peace and love / no more war theme that was a-goin’ on. Sadly due to disrupted train services i couldn’t hang around as long as i’d of like too but i met a few cool people and saw some nice performances on what was a nice positive festival with a great relaxed atmosphere.
It’d been too long since i ventured down Cornwall way but i’ll be performing within it’s boarders at least once more this year at the Cornwall Vegan Festival on the 5th of December in Truro, until then Cornwall!
Shine your love,
